Last night I went to see Hot Club Sandwich at the Bitter End pub in downtown Portland. As always, Greg Ruby was dressed to impress and playing fantastic. One thing that that band has, is nice energy, and smiles, which is a very important thing.
I looked around during the show, and other than Jason Okamoto, who played as a guest for a few songs, there were the the 4 members of Gadjo Djazz, myself, and one or two other guitar players that I recognized from Portland. As usual, the show was packed, and they rearranged the tables this time to accomodate more people, which helped a lot because this time my girlfriend and I both got front row seats.
