I bought a new Dell Arte Hommage from Alain Cola this week. I have only had it a week but this guitar is brilliant. Dell Arte bridges are definitely improving. The modele I received is the new cedar top 14-fret d-hole Hommage.
The neck on this Hommage feels exactly like vintage Favino. An old Favino has the same neck but this brand new Dell Arte is polished and smooth without the wear of ages of playing. My fingers can glide over the notes with ease. I asked Alain to set the bridge up as high as he could and he gave me 2.5mm at the 12th fret, which is ok for now but I will set it at 3mm someday when I get a new bridge again.
I can put 30+ hours on a full set of strings without breaking a single one. I think Alain is paying closer attention to the width of the crown of the bridges and the cut of the string slots. I still think that after 5+ years most bridges become too old and need to be replaced. My Shelley Park guitar bridge has burrs on it now from string snappings and with close examination I think it would be better the replace the bridge than to attempt to fix it.

I have never played a better guitar. Everyone has their own preferences and desires for a musical instrument but I can say that this guitar ranks in the upper echelon of playability. I am having new desire to practice again and things are once again as fun as they have ever been.
